Logo Rationale

A big part of the Street Food Festival is the inspiration that it takes from food culture across South Africa, and we wanted to embody that in the logo and branding. The logo concept we came up with was to draw inspiration from the many eateries across Cape Town. Signwriting is a big part of South African street food, so we paid homage to that by bringing letters from the most iconic food joints in Cape Town into the logo.
